Winter in the garden

Winter Aster "flowers".

The beautiful flowers of Helleborus orientalis.

Miss all the flowers in the garden, wish it was spring.
But the winter flowers, like Helleborus are beautiful. Also the seed of Aster and especially Hollyhock are wonderful.

Helleborus and Crocus

And again this weekend will be a warm and sunny february weekend. 
Of course I love the sun and beautiful weather but I'm so worried about our climate, about the climate change. 

The flowers of the Helleborus are so beautiful, I have a few plants in the garden.
This is a Helleborus purpurascens, with dark purple petals.

At first there were only yellow Crocuses in the garden but now I saw some purple ones.

Another sunny warm February day

Love tulips. This is a tulip from a bouquet, photographed with my macro lens.

Today another wonderful sunny day, feels like spring.

Observation: We saw a European Greenfinch (Groenling) in the garden. It is the first Greenfinch we saw this winter in the garden.

First "spring like" day

Yesterday there was sun !!! after days of dark clouds and rain. It felt a bit like spring !
It was the first time, after months, that I went out in the garden with my camera and telelens to photograph flowers. 
That are one of the most beautiful photography moments for me. To be so close to the flowers, to nature.

The Crocus flowers are opening in the sun.

Helleborus purpurascens is also flowering. Love the deep purple color of the petals.

Spring memories

Spring memories in the garden. Love these plants, Geum. The flowers are wonderful, so very delicate and they are great photography objects. 
Can't wait to see them flowering again in the garden in spring.

Lovely garden birds

Love to photograph birds but my new telelens is not long enough, it is only 250 mm.
These photos are made with my old Tamron lens 300mm, but it is not working anymore.
I photographed the Robin and Bluetit (a real acrobat) in our garden about a year ago with the Tamron lens.

The summer is gone

The wonderful warm yellow English rose Golden Celebration is flowering again.
Today we had some rain, after weeks of no rain. Always so beautiful to see the drops on the rose petals.

It seems the summer is gone now, it is not so sunny and warm anymore.

The seeds of the Hollyhock. So beautiful in a web of "lace".

The lovely Dahlias always brighten up the autumn garden.

Flowers, flowers, summer memories

Flowers, I love to photograph flowers. In the garden, in the countryside, everywhere.
Most of the time I use my macro lens, to see and photograph the amazing details.

Scabiosa Purpurascens is one of my favorite flowers. The flowers are so delicate and have a wonderful blue color.

Summer in October

It feels and looks like summer, it is 25C :-), but it is October.
Of course it is nice that it is so warm and sunny, but it isn't normal and we haven't had rain (enough rain) for a long time. I'm worried about the climate changes.

I'm glad there are still a lot of flowers blooming in the garden. A few weeks ago I  bought the Anemone, I love the beautiful delicate flowers and it is a lovely autumn flower.
The sunny Aster is also flowering very good and is growing very well. 

Still or again flowering in october

The beautiful yellow David Austin rose Graham Thomas is flowering again.
This is an English rose, with cupped blooms. It has a wonderful fragance.
I love English roses because there are flowering for a long time and these rose plants are healthy and strong.

The last days it is very warm, like summer, 24 C. 

This purple pink Phlox is still flowering in the garden. I have many Phlox plants they are perpect garden plants.

Sunny white Rudbeckia

Last month I also bought a white Rudbeckia garden plant. There are also beautiful, like the purple ones.
There are photogenic too :-)
I used my 250 mm Canon telelens to get close to the flower, I couldn't get close enough with my 60mm macro lens.

Purple Rudbeckia

Wonderful autumn flowers, the purple pink flowers of the Rudbeckia.
They brighten up the garden in fall.
Love the way they look with the petals a bit hanging down and the stamen at the top.
The contrasting colors a so beautiful too.

Pink rose in the morning sun

I was happy to see the morning sun on the beautiful pink flowers of the climbing rose. I don't know the name of it.
The sunlight created a very beautiful background too.

I made this photos with my Canon eos 70D camera.

Pink Phlox flowering in the garden

Love this plant, the Phlox. Very long flowering garden plant, very easy plant.
The sunlight on the flowers was so wonderful.

Beautiful Rhododendron

The Rhododendron is one of the most beautiful spring shrubs, I think.

The delicate Pulsatilla

Pulsatilla flowers are so very delicate. I love to photograph the gorgeous flowers with the hair on the petals.
The color contrast of the stamen and the red petals is wonderful too.

The Camelia a very early flowering beauty

The flowers of the Camelia are like flowers of roses, so very beautiful.
